PRE-EVENT
Before the main event, the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation team visited Ihumudumu Primary School, where they were warmly received by the headteacher and staff. The meeting was filled with anticipation and gratitude, as preparations were made to ensure a meaningful and organized distribution. Discussions centered on logistics — the total number of students, the allocation of educational materials, and the coordination with the Esan West Local Government Education Authority. Every step reflected excellence and integrity, embodying the very values Dr. Samuel Osemota lived by.
As final plans were confirmed, the team prayed together, committing the outreach to God’s hands. The spirit of faith and academic purpose merged beautifully — reminding everyone that education is not only about intellect, but also about character, faith, and service to humanity.
THE EVENT
On the day of the event, the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation team arrived early, bringing with them boxes of books, pens, and learning tools designed to empower every child in attendance. The assembly ground of Ihumudumu Primary School was alive with excitement and joy. Teachers, local education officials, and community leaders gathered to witness the event. The proceedings opened with prayers and thanksgiving, acknowledging God as the ultimate source of wisdom and enlightenment.
The Foundation team shared with the pupils the inspiring story of Dr. Samuel Uwa Osemota — a devoted scholar, mentor, and believer who embodied humility, hard work, and the pursuit of knowledge with faith in God. Children were reminded that true greatness is built upon discipline, education, and godly character, values Dr. Osemota upheld throughout his academic and professional life.
As the team distributed the educational materials — notebooks, pens, pencils, and rulers — each child’s face lit up with excitement. The gifts were more than supplies; they were symbols of possibility, faith, and hope for a better tomorrow.
The event concluded with a motivational message encouraging the pupils to “study diligently, pray faithfully, and serve others selflessly.” The atmosphere was filled with applause, songs of joy, and heartfelt gratitude to God.
