Nigeria tops the list of countries when it comes to malaria infections as well as deaths.
-WHO 2020
According to the World Health Organization 2020 World Malaria Report, Nigeria tops the list of countries when it comes to malaria infections as well as deaths.
In 2019, there were over 60 million cases of malaria in Nigeria alone, leading to almost 100,000 deaths.
Over 4 million children in Nigeria were treated for malaria in 2019. Those living in villages are most vulnerable, often having limited access to treatment. (WHO, 21, 49)
Dire but not hopeless...
The statistics are staggering, but the situation is not without hope.
In August 2007, supported by evidence from Kenya, the WHO Global Malaria Programme (GMP) released a position statement in which it noted, “… free mass distribution of [long lasting insecticide nets] is a powerful way to quickly and dramatically increase coverage, particularly among the poorest people”. (WHO, 6)
For those with restricted access to malaria treatments, the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation is bringing support through prevention. Our insecticide-treated mosquito nets are proven effective as a preventative treatment against not only malaria, but also other insect-transmitted diseases such as dengue fever, West Nile virus, and Zika.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically affected the distribution of insect-treated nets in Africa.
-WHO 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically affected the distribution of insect-treated nets in Africa.
According to the WHO, under the worst-case scenario – in which all insect-treated net campaigns are suspended and there is a 75% reduction in access to effective antimalarial medicines – a staggering 769,000 people in sub-Saharan Africa could die from malaria by the end of 2020. (WHO, 96)
Be a Part Of SOMETHING SPECIAL
Your donation of just $2 will purchase one insecticide-treated mosquito net that will last for 3 to 4 years and protect two people on average.
The people whose lives are saved by these nets will impact families for generations.
These nets will save someone’s mother, someone’s teacher, someone’s child, or someone’s doctor.
Insect-transmitted diseases don’t discriminate who they infect.
By donating just $2 per net, you are not just saving lives – you are contributing to the sustainable growth of Africa’s economy.

BECAUSE ONLY TOGETHER WE CAN
The Emmanuel Osemota Foundation is working to see 5000 treated nets delivered to villagers across Nigeria by the end of 2021.
For every 600 nets we put over heads and beds, one child’s life is saved, and up to 1000 cases of malaria are prevented. If we reach our goal for 2021, we could see over 8000 people who will be able to live healthy lives free of disease.
WE CAN'T DO IT ALONE
Your donation to the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation means that not only will insecticide-treated nets be distributed quarterly, but the recipients will also be educated on the benefits of the nets as well as how to use them.
Our foundation is not about short term solutions.
We are committed to the sustainable economic growth in Africa as well as equipping local communities to thrive and be cared for with dignity.
We Need Your Help!
Together, we can create a brighter future for the health of Nigerians.
