The Logistics team of the Emmanuel Osemota Foundation recently engaged with the Edo State Ministry of Education as part of their outreach program aimed at secondary schools. The Ministry expressed satisfaction with the initiative and selected Anglican Girls Grammar School in Oredo Local Government Area as the venue. During the visit to the school, the team was warmly received by the principal who embraced the idea enthusiastically.

Discussions ensued regarding the scheduling of the event, including determining the optimal date, desired number of female students to participate, and specific classes to target. Furthermore, the Logistics team ensured that all resources and publicity materials provided by the Foundation were carefully inspected and prepared in advance, ensuring they were in optimal condition for the upcoming event.

The team arrived promptly at the venue to set up. Once setup was completed, all 206 senior secondary school students were seated. The event kicked off with a lecture by Nurse Excel Chidibere on Menstrual Hygiene. The lecture was highly interactive, prompting numerous questions from the students, all of which Nurse Excel addressed. She also provided a demonstration on the correct usage of sanitary pads.

Following that, Dr. Oghenekaro Onoriose delivered a lecture on Substance Abuse and Human Trafficking. This session utilized slides and videos to illustrate real-life experiences, aiming to educate the young audience effectively.

The Emmanuel Osemota Foundation organized a quiz competition, rewarding the top three contestants with brand new Asus Laptops. The winners were:

1st Place: Abulimeh Miracle
2nd Place: Nduka Gabriella
3rd Place: Matthias Testimony

To conclude the event, every attendee received various gifts, including branded notebooks and sanitary pads, aimed at supporting their menstrual health. The students were thrilled to participate in the girl child initiative.

We express gratitude to God for His continuous guidance, protection, and blessings. Additionally, we thank the Edo State Ministry of Education for granting approval and the principal of Anglican Girls Grammar School for their support. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the students and teachers whose unwavering support ensured the success of the event.

Most importantly, we are immensely thankful to all our donors whose generosity played a pivotal role in making this initiative a resounding success.
